Sales Assistant : Good morning. British Airways, Cheryl speaking. How can I help you?

Sébastien : Good morning. I’d like some information about tickets to London, please.

Assistant : Of course, sir. Where would you like to fly from?

Sébastien : We’re flying from Nice, in France.

Assistant : Just one moment, please. … Right, from Nice we have flights to Heathrow or to Gatwick.

Sébastien : What’s the difference between them? Which airport is closer to London?

Assistant : Well, Heathrow is closer to London, so it’s easier to get into the city, and we have more flights a day to Heathrow. On the other hand, Gatwick is cheaper, and there is a direct train to Victoria station in central London.

Sébastien : In that case, I think we’d prefer to fly to Heathrow. We’d like 2 return tickets, leaving on Saturday 8th August and returning on the 15th August.

Assistant : Let me just put that into the computer. … OK. On the 8th August we have a flight that departs from Nice at 8:15, and another at 14: 05. Which one would you prefer?

Sébastien : I think the later one is better. How much do the tickets cost?

Assistant : The fare is £113 per person, but I see that if you’re flexible with your dates, the same flight on Friday is only £73.

Sébastien : I’m sorry, but I’m working on the Friday. We can’t leave earlier.

Assistant : I understand. For the return, there is just one flight at 10: 45 on the 15th August. That flight is almost full. Would you prefer a window seat or an aisle seat?

Sébastien : It’s not really important, but we’d like the two seats to be together.

Assistant : Of course. I can give you two seats together with one aisle seat for both flights. Is that OK?

Sébastien : Yes, that’s fine. How much does it cost for the two return tickets?

Assistant : The total price is £394, but we do have a supplement if you take more than one piece of luggage per person. It’s cheaper if you pay in advance. Would you like to pay the supplement?

Sébastien : No thanks. I don’t think we’ll need it. We travel light.

Assistant : OK. So, I’ll reserve those seats for you. Could I take your credit card number, please?

Sébastien : Of course. Are you ready? It’s  3-1-8-3- …
